Is right speech (sammā vācā) a peace-promoting form of communication? | Bhante Dr. Gangodawila Chandima and Dr. Benjaporn Jombunud

Dear Dhamma Friends,

Stay tuned for Thursday afternoon as we continue with our Dhammapariyesanā series #56.

Please join host Bhante Dr. Chandima for an interview with Dr. Benjaporn Jombunud, who will share how the right speech (sammā vācā) can be used as a tool to communicate for inner and global peace. Given that she holds a doctorate in peace studies, this interview will explore how we can identify the right speech not only as a Buddhist soteriological practice but also as a secular practice to resolve individual and global issues.

Dr. Benjaporn Jombunud is a visiting lecturer of English at Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya Univiersity, Silpakorn University, and Srinakharinwirot University in Thailand. She holds a BA in English Teaching from the Faculty of Education; an MA in English from the Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University; and PhD in Peace Studies from Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University. She has a passion for Buddhism and music and plays the piano and was a piano instructor and accompanist in the past, an interest she continues to pursue.

See you at 2.00pm (Bangkok) (12.30pm Colombo).

May you be well and happy!
