I am delighted to have been invited to be a keynote speaker at the First International Buddhist Studies Conference on Promotion, Protection, and Preservation of Buddhist Culture in Global Perspective, which will be held on August 27 in Chiang Rai, Thailand. This conference will be conducted jointly by the MCU and the Chongqing Chinese Buddhist Association, China. I will give the keynote speech on one of my long-awaited topics: "Ethno-nationalist Sentiment of Theravāda and its future with Global Buddhism|Opportunities, and Challenges." Today marks the sixth year since my grandmother passed away at the age of 100. As I reflect on all the fond memories with gratitude and her unwavering dedication, I wish you once more, may you speedily attain Nibbana! Thank you for everything you've done.
