9. Ye ariyasaccāni vibhāvayanti,
Those who fathom the noble truths
Those who fathom the noble truths
Gambhīrapaññena sudesitāni;
taught by the one of deep wisdom,
Kiñcāpi te honti bhusappamattā,
even if they are hugely negligent.
Na te bhavaṁ aṭṭhamam ādiyanti;
do not take an eighth life,
even if they are hugely negligent.
Na te bhavaṁ aṭṭhamam ādiyanti;
do not take an eighth life,
Idampi saṅghe ratanaṁ paṇītaṁ;
This sublime gem is in the saṅgha:
Etena saccena suvatthi hotu.
by this truth, may you be well!

10. Sahāvassa dassana sampadāya,
Together with his attainment of insight
Tayassu dhammā jahitā bhavanti;
Tayassu dhammā jahitā bhavanti;
three fetters have been abandoned (by him/her), namely:
Sakkāyadiṭṭhī vicikicchitañca,
identity view, doubt, and any
Sīlabbataṁ vāpi yadatthi kiñci.
Catūhapāyehi ca vippamutto,
They’re freed from the four places of misery,Chaccābhiṭhānāni abhabbo kātuṁ;
and incapable of committing the six major wrong doings.This sublime gem is in the saṅgha:
Etena saccena suvatthi hotu.
