Cultural Competency in Cancer Care | A Buddhist Perspective | Bhante Dr. Gangodawila Chandima and Saranee Fernando

Dear Dhamma Friends,

Stay tuned tomorrow evening as we continue with our Dhammapariyesanā series #30.

Please join host Bhante Dr. Chandima as he interviews Saranee Fernando who will share with us some insights about her own experiences in dealing with cultural competency in cancer care.

Saranee Fernando has a Masters of Public Health (MPH) and works at the Centre for Health Evaluation and Outcome Sciences (CHÉOS) in Vancouver, B.C. She currently manages several projects while conducting qualitative research in a variety of health care contexts. Her recent work focuses on cultural competency, youth mental health, and the overdose crisis in B.C. She is also an artist who has been drawing and painting for most of her life. In 2014, she discovered her love of watercolouring, and has since made numerous commissions with some raising money for various non-profit organizations supporting vulnerable persons and animals.

See you at 4.45pm (Vancouver, Canada time).

May you be well and happy!
Patisota Team
