Demystifying Ghosts in Theravada Buddhism | Bhante Dr. Gangodawila Chandima and Professor Karuna Jadhav
Dear Dhamma Friends,
Stay tuned for Wednesday evening as we continue with our Dhammapariyesanā series #47.
Please join the host Bhante Dr. Chandima to interview Professor Karuna Jadhav on how to demystify the traditional and contemporary understanding of ghosts in Theravada Buddhism. Although the word, "peta" relates to the departed (dead) folks in general, the bigger and broader context of "peta" informs us of a number of beings in ghostly realms.
Dr. Karuna Jadhav is Assistant Professor of Pali at the Somaiya Vidyavihar University, Mumbai, India. She earned a doctorate from the University of Mumbai, where her research focused on the philosophy of kamma and vipāka elucidated in the Petavatthu and Vimānavatthu.
May you be well and happy!
