Dear Dhamma Friends,
Stay tuned for the evening of Friday, 7th January as we continue with our Dhammapariyesanā series #52.
Please join host Bhante Dr. Chandima in conversation with Shu Ta Naa as Shu performs several solos and a few duet songs with special guest Ita Thum about the value of gratitude. With the new year upon us, we hope that this wonderful episode will inspire us to devote our thoughts to be grateful to our parents, nature, and a variety of other facets of life.
Shu Ta Naa is a final-year undergraduate student at INTI University, majoring in business finance. She became acquainted with Buddhism at the age of eight, when she enrolled in a Buddhism lesson offered by the renowned and iconic Cheng Hoon Teng Buddhist monastery in Melaka, Malaysia. Shu has also been a member of the Malaysian Young Buddhist Association (YBAM), which promotes Buddhism through music. She has a passion for singing, which she owes in great part to her parents.
Ita Thum, the special guest, is also the mother of Shu Ta Naa, a working mother who owns a business specializing in metal steel and hardware trading. For about 13 years, she has studied Buddhism. Ita has also volunteered to teach dharma to children aged 10-15 years old at the Cheng Hoon Teng temple's Jinxing Jingyuan Children's Buddhism class for about 13 years. She is passionate about music, singing, travel, performance, and cuisine.
See you on Friday, January 7 (7pm, Malaysia) (Friday, January at 6am EST).
May you be well and happy!
Patisota Team
