Maṅgala Sutta
(Blessings)

6. Asevanā ca bālānaṁ

Not associating with the unwise

Paṇḍitānañca sevanā

with the wise associating

Pūjā ca pūjanīyānaṁ

honouring those worthy of honour

Etaṁ maṅgalamuttamaṁ.
this is a supreme blessing.

7. Patirūpadesavāso ca

Living in a suitable place

Pubbe ca katapuññatā

formerly having done good deeds,

Attasammāpaṇidhi ca

And to apply oneself in the right way

Etaṁ maṅgalamuttamaṁ.

this is a supreme blessing.
