(Sayings of the Dhamma)

Appamāda
(Diligence)

32. Appamāda rato bhikkhu,
The monastic who delights in diligence

pamāde bhayadassi vā;
And fears negligence

Abhabbo parihānāya,
Is incapable of backsliding

nibbānasseva santike.
And is quite close to Nibbana
