(Sayings of the Dhamma)

Puppha
(Flowers)

56. Appamatto ayaṁ gandho,
Slight is the scent

yāyaṁ tagara candanī;
of rosebay or sandalwood,

Yo ca sīlavataṁ gandho,
But the scent of the virtuous

vāti devesu uttamo.
(is supreme), Drifiting even to the gods.
