喜び〈Mudita〉 ー 他人の幸せを喜ぶ人は幸せになる:嫉妬の手放し方』 チャンディマ・ガンゴダウィラ長老【著】 WHOLESOME UNSLEFISH JOY (Muditā) - THE BUDDHIST ESSENTIAL OF MENTAL HEALTH (JAPANESE)

CELEBRATE MY NEW BOOK RELEASE! 喜び〈Mudita〉 ー 他人の幸せを喜ぶ人は幸せになる:嫉妬の手放し方』 チャンディマ・ガンゴダウィラ長老【著】 WHOLESOME UNSLEFISH JOY ( Muditā) - THE BUDDHIST ESSENTIAL OF MENTAL HEALTH (JAPANESE) Released on August 8th, 2023 Dear Friends, I’m excited to announce that my eleventh Japanese book 喜び〈Mudita〉 ー 他人の幸せを喜ぶ人は幸せになる:嫉妬の手放し方』 チャンディマ・ガンゴダウィラ長老【著】 | Wholesome Unselfish Joy ( Muditā)   - The Buddhist Essential of Mental Health,” (Japanese) was published on Amazon today, August 8th, 2023. An impeccable Japanese translation was provided by the esteemed author, Yoshiko. At the outset, I have engaged in a discussion pertaining to the differentiation between joy and Muditā . The word Muditā , as the title suggests, has been rendered for the first time as Wholesome Unselfish Joy. Muditā is frequently translated and described as unselfish joy without the characteristics of wholesomeness (kusala elements). The Book is the most recent to address a critical issue of how Buddhism deals with jealousy. In additi

The Thirty-Eight Supreme Blessings

The Thirty-Eight Supreme Blessings The Buddha was once asked by a deva what constituted the highest blessings. His answer provides a checklist of what is most valuable in this life. 1   Not to associate with fools. Those who drag us down with their foolishness; drunkards, layabouts etc. 2   To associate with the wise. Those who encourage us to grow spiritually. The Buddha emphasized the importance of good companionship in many ways; when Ananda remarked that good friends were half of the Holy Life, He replied " Say not so! Good friends are the whole of the Holy Life!" 3   To pay repects where they are due. Making puja to the Triple Jewel, honouring our teachers and elders; to have this opportunity is a blessing not to be missed! 4   To reside in a suitable location. A place congenial to life, peaceful and with such a society and economy that we can live free from want and fear. 5   To have previously done meritorious deeds. Thus, we can enjoy the fruit now. But don't be

Views entail mental rigidity and are potential objects of attachment. (becoming attached to objects of cognition).  Therefore, cultivate the right view and abandon the wrong view.  1. Introduction Diṭṭhi  is an obstacle to “seeing things as they are” ( Yathā-bhūta-ñāna-dassana ). The aim of the dhamma path is the transcendence of all views. Right view ( samm ā  diṭṭhi )  with “no view” at all (overcoming all views, even right view) | abandoning of wrong views ( micch ā  diṭṭhi )  but the relinquishment of all views. How Should Buddhists think through "Career Choices"? | Bhante Dr. Gangodawila Chandima

What is a career? the job or series of jobs that you do during your working life, especially if you continue to get better jobs and earn more money: What is a job? the regular work that a person does to earn money: The difference between a job and a career A job is a post of employment. The definition of a career is an occupation or profession, especially one requiring special training followed as one's lifework. The difference between a  profession  and a  vocation   A profession can be anything from a doctor or painter to a plumber or mechanic. It is usually a job or career that requires formal education and training, which is why professions require so much time, energy, and money to acquire. You can make a good living as a professional in any field, but it takes time and effort to get there. A vocation is your calling in life. It’s what drives you every day, what inspires and motivates you. It’s not just something you do because it helps you pay your bills, but something that
